Three witnesses went to a hunting cabin to scout for the upcoming bear season. While in the cabin cooking, they heard banging on one of the cabin walls. The two men went outside to see who was banging on the walls. They found no one and saw nothing. They went back inside the cabin. After a few minutes passed, they heard three loud bangs on the cabin door. Again the two men went outside, circled the cabin but did not see anything. They did smell an awful odor they could not explain. While outside, and apple was tossed at them. Thinking someone was messing with them, they went into the cabin and gathered there stuff to leave. While they were putting stuff in the truck, a stick was thrown at them and hit the rear quarter panel of the truck. Again they checked the area and did not see anything. On the way out, they stopped at the area cabins and no one was at any of the sites. The three still do not know who or what was harassing them that day.
July 20, 2001, near Grove Run: A man was sleeping at his campsite when he was awoken around 3:15 am. He heard the heavy footfalls of an animal coming down the hillside towards his campsite. The animal walked between the witness and the campfire. The witness saw that the animal was an 8-foot tall creature covered in glistening long black hair and walked on two legs like a human. No facial features were visible. The arms hung to its knees. He also heard the creature making heavy breathing sounds. The creature continued down the hill towards the creek and disappeared into the darkness. Although the man did not feel threatened, he did feel that the creature was still around and watching him in the darkness.

While camping at a hunting camp, several men hear a loud thump on the cabin porch. The men see a large hair covered creature walk across the porch to the door and it begins pushing and kicking the door trying to gain entry. After a few minutes, the creature ran off towards the outhouse. A few minutes later, the men hear a loud piercing scream. The next day as the men traveled to town for supplies, one of the men saw the creature following the truck about 75 yards away. When the truck stopped, the creature hid from sight.
